SCHEDULES
The Varsity and JV season will run through Nov 14. Modified teams will finish Nov 7. There will be no regional or state tournaments and no sectionals, but a postseason tournament is possible. Due to transportation issues and other factors, some practices may not be able to start immediately following the school day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The athletics department is working on sports study halls to aid in this issue.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
Due to the pandemic, several precautionary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of players, coaches, and spectators. Our Athletic department is still working on whether or not players will be required to wear masks while playing. When not in the game, masks will be required, and social distancing practices will be in place. Only 2 spectators per player will be allowed at home games. For away games, the policy may vary, and will be communicated in advance. Please be sure your child brings enough water to sustain them for the practice/game, as sharing of water will be strongly prohibited. For each practice and game, players will be required to hand in a form certifying their health (similar to what you fill out to attend school each day). Without this form, players will not be allowed to participate. For transportation to away games, the number of people allowed on buses will be limited to 22. 1 coach and only 21 players.

A WORD FROM THE COACHES
Before we even start tryouts, we want to convey to everyone that this season has a number of abnormalities that will impact tryouts and the season. We regret that some situations will be less than ideal. Our goal is to keep as many players as we can in the program. Due to transportation limitations for away games, rosters for each team will be limited to 21 players. Due to liability issues, parents will not be able to drive players to away games. There are currently significantly more players registered to try out than there are roster spots available. One thing we are looking into is the possibility of keeping more players, but designating them as home players only. They would attend home games and all practices, but would not travel with the team to away games. We recognize this is not ideal, but it would allow us to involve more players in the program, which is better than the alternative of simply releasing players. Please counsel your sons to come to each day of tryouts and practices and work as hard as they can.

A WORD FROM THE BOOSTER CLUB
With a shortened season the booster club will be very limited on its fund raising activities this year. So please remember to drop your bottles and cans off at the redemption center on Downer Street in the Topps plaza. Tell them you wish to donate the proceeds to the B'ville Boys Soccer program and the total will be added to our account.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you.
